Servicing & Maintenance
Understand servicing requirements, approved workshops and keeping your warranty valid.
Do I need to service my vehicle to keep the warranty valid?
Yes. The vehicle must be serviced and maintained in accordance with the applicable warranty requirements. Service records may be required when a claim is made, so keep invoices and evidence of completed servicing.
Does servicing need to be completed by a licensed or registered workshop?
The applicable warranty servicing requirements must be followed. For the products currently arranged through MrWarranty, servicing should be completed by an appropriately registered or licensed mechanical workshop and records should be retained.
Can I service my own vehicle if I am a mechanic?
Being a mechanic does not automatically mean self-servicing satisfies the warranty requirements. Where the warranty requires servicing through a registered or licensed mechanical workshop, the servicing needs to meet that requirement and be properly documented.
What happens if my vehicle has missed a service?
A missed or late service can affect a claim where servicing compliance is required under the warranty. If your service history is incomplete, discuss it before purchasing so the applicable eligibility and commencement requirements can be checked.
